Beginners often fixate on a coin’s price per token, but on its own that number tells you very little. Market capitalization is usually the more meaningful figure.
Why price alone misleads
A token priced at a fraction of a cent is not “cheap,” and a token priced at thousands of dollars is not “expensive” — it depends entirely on how many tokens exist. A low unit price with a gigantic supply can still be a very large company.
Market cap and fully-diluted value
Market cap (price times circulating supply) sizes the asset; fully-diluted value assumes all future tokens exist and can reveal hidden dilution. Look at both, in your currency, on our markets dashboard. Neither number is a valuation on its own.
