“Tokenomics” describes the economics of a crypto token: how many exist, how new ones are created, who holds them, and what they are used for. It is one of the most important — and most overlooked — things to understand before touching any token.
Supply and issuance
Look at the total and circulating supply, and whether supply is capped (like Bitcoin) or inflates over time. A low circulating supply paired with a huge fully-diluted valuation is a warning sign that big “unlocks” could dilute holders later.
Distribution and utility
Who holds the tokens matters: heavy insider or team allocations with scheduled unlocks can create persistent selling pressure. And ask what the token actually does — governance, fees, staking — versus what is just narrative.
