Buy and verify
Buy only from the manufacturer or an authorized reseller — never second-hand or from a marketplace listing, which could be tampered with. When it arrives, verify it is genuine using the manufacturer’s official app, and set it up yourself from scratch.
Your recovery phrase
The device will generate a recovery phrase. Write it down on paper (or a metal backup), never digitally, and never enter it into any website or app. Anyone with that phrase controls your funds. Store backups securely and separately, and confirm you can restore before moving significant amounts.
